Heat Wave ! Stay Cool in Philadelphia & Bucks County Pa

 record breaking temperatures

Perhaps the best time to show homes is in the early mornings . Sellers please be aware that it is best to have the A/C on in a heat wave for yourself as well as a  potential buyer. Drink Lots of WATER.

There is nothing worse than showing vacant homes with no A/C on in a heat wave. I have been advising my sellers to put the air on. In my humble opinion it is just as bad showing a hot stuffy home as it is showing a house that is in disarray , dirty  or has an odor in the home. If the buyers are uncomfortable when they walk in the home they are not going to buy it.Plus the agent may rush the buyer out of the house if it is stifling hot . Agents are human too. Remember first impressions last .

Sellers should have their A/C on in their homes even when not home. Keep homes cool in the summertime when they are trying to sell their homes . You never know when buyers will stop by   As I said before first impressions are so important

Phila & Bucks County  had record breaking temperatures of 95 degrees. With the humidity it felt like well over a 100 degrees. Today the temperatures are predicted to go up to 96 This is extremely hot for the Philadelphia & the Bucks County of Pa area .

A great way to beat the heat is by the pool. Stay cool . Check on your senior neighbors in heat waves. Make sure they are safe -Be a good neighbor. Stop in and say HELLO see if they need anything .

Please be safe do not leave children or pets in the car .There have been a few cases of pets and children being locked in cars in the news .

We've had a super hot summer in the south too.  I used to love summer and dread fall.  This year I'm actually looking forward to it.

We had temps that hit 108 here in Sacramento last week, but are cooler this week.  We're only in the mid-90s.

Stay cool, Hannah!

Hannah,

Great advice about keeping the air on.  When we were in Virginia in the heat of July, our clients showed us typical homes they had listed, and everyone of them had the air on.  They as agents ketpt their cars running to keep them cool, during the showing, so that we could stay cool...I was very impressed...A

Drinking lots of water is great advice. I do that myself.

As I'm typing this we are getting hit with a storm that no one say coming. The lightning is amazing and we've already lost power once. It's since come on again.

Hannah if a seller wants to sell the home they have to make it comfortable for the buyer to stay in the house long enough to get the connection with the home....and if the AC is off that will not happen, Endre

Good morning Hannah. Can you keep the heat in your area a bit longer instead of sending it our way? I wish we had that kind of control over the weather, but no can do. Stay as cool as you can.

Good morning Hannah Williams,

Excellent tips on showing a home when it's hot outside. We always have our air on and I always remind sellers to make sure they keep it cool when their house is on the market. If the AC is off no buyer will stay in the home to see it ......off to the next one!!

It is so uncomfortable to show a house in hot weather without the A/C on. Last week the homeowner was sittin with all her windows open and it was 90 degrees. The buyer asked if her A/C was broken and she said no, I don't need it because this unit is so cool...she said that as my buyer left because it was too, too hot!

Myrl Jeffcoat  Oh my and I thought it was hot here ..108 degrees  I think I would melt

Thank you for your input

Ron and Alexandra Seigel  If you leave cars running in some of our areas you may not find your car when you come out of the showing even if you keep the doors locked .you may be inviting trouble .

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington  Now if only the sellers would listen and not be a penny wise and a pound foolish

Debbie Laity  These storms can be very scary . I was caught in one last week .I caught not even see when driving .

Thank you for your comments

Endre Barath, Jr.  You hit the nail on the head .My thoughts exactly

Joe Petrowsky The weather was suppose to cool off after a thunder storm last night .. I don't think it worked

Michael Thornton  I hope the air is on for your home inspections . I know there are some parts of the house like the roof and attic  this will not help .

Thank you for your comments -Stay cool

Dorie Dillard  I agree with you 100% ..I say let's move on and hope they agree To be honest buyer usually say that before the words come out of my mouth .

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Call 631-805-4400 (c)  Makes a buyer suspicious of the costs of running the a/c when the seller is sitting in front of fans saying they don't need to run the a/c unit when it is really hot outside

Kristin Johnston, Waukesha Realtor 414-254-6647  thoughts worth sharing -you have a nice Tuesday also

Thank you for your comments -Stay cool

Hannah this is very good advice.  Sellers need to understand they need to create an atmosphere which Buyers want to spend time in their home, not counting the seconds to run out the door so they do not pass out from the heat.

Hannah, All sellers in the summer time need to have the AC to say the least. Down here no AC and you might end up with a bad case of mold..
