Do you like fairies and elves? Imagine....
I always hear about these little creatures of the woods, yet never see any.
Well Thanks to Lottie Kendall , I now know where they live.
Do you remember reading "Lord of the Rings" and traveling along with Bilbao on his magical, fantastical journeys?
Sometimes it's just right to let your imagination loose and enjoy the mysteries that we too often put aside once we become adults. When could be better than now, at the height of summer?
Yesterday evening, after the work day was finished, we took a hike in Golden Gate Park, in the midst of San Francisco. Our goal was to walk the small wooded trails, the hidden not often used trails, eventually heading to the top of Strawberry Hill, in the middle of popular Stowe Lake.
As we were strolling along, we came across this tiny door in a hollow log -- the fairy door! Where notes and tiny gifts are left, where imagination can run free.
Click on the link if you wish to learn the story about the creation of this tiny door in Golden Gate Park (a park larger in size than Central Park in Manhattan), a park visited by more than 13 million people each year.
If you're visiting the park, take a bit of time; perhaps you'll stumble across this charming door and feel like a kid again. If you do, be sure to leave a gift--a pebble, a leave, a tiny note--for the woodland elves and fairies!
--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!
