Our flower growers in Carpinteria are always surprising us with new flowers. Check out this colorful bouquet of statice. Prior to yesterday, I had seen them in varied shades of purple, pink and white. The yellow was a surprise.

Those are a lot of the colors of the desert blooms here in my area this time of year. The purples and yellows of Lantana and the pinks of the bougainvillea bushes.
