What To Update First

By
Real Estate Agent with Harry Norman Realtors 280064

Well that time came for my husband and I to start updating our home. As a Realtor we are great at telling others what they need to freshen up their house, but we are TERRIBLE at taking our own advice.  Time just slipped away from us, but we vowed we would start. Not that we have any plans of selling.  We love BIG CANOE and plan to live here a very long time!  God willing.

Last year my husband designed a massive walk-in closet that use to be a storage room.  We  had a master carpenter build it. My husband laid the porcelain floors that look just like wood.  We also updated our kitchen cabinets, installed new counters and back-splash, sink and hardware, lights and appliances (including washer and dryer)!

This year we have had the outside painted and a new garage door installed. We are going to re-stain our two decks and front porch with Sikkens.  Love this finish.  DIY people most of the time.

Next year we will tackle the three bathrooms! Then my husband will want to rest but...we will have to repaint the interior and change out the carpet on our terrace level.

THIS NEVER ENDS!

Good morning Rosemarie. It;s very true, once you start, it just doesn't seem to end. We take on a new project each year, hopefully it's all done before we are.

Make it a great weekend!

Rosemarie you are so right we tell our clients when to  update and if they do move out of the home and what do we do? We stay and eat all the dust and aggravation that goes with it:), Endre
