You Can Lead a Horse to the Bar and Hopefully He'll Lead You Home
The wild west spirit is still alive in some parts of Colorado. This photo falls into the category of you know you live in a rural area when...you see horses parked on Main Street.
I think the riders went for an evening ride, and stopped at 4Bs Brewpub for a treat. The horses took it all in stride. It did seem like a beautiful night for a ride.
Seeing horses tied out on Main Street isn't as common a sight as it use to be. What's really entertaining is when you get the ranchers herding sheep or cows down the highway. The cows and sheep don't stop for a red traffic light, either. They continue to push on through. I love seeing the expressions on the visitors' faces when they see this happen. By the way, Cedaredge only has one stoplight. So as of tonight we have more horses in town than stoplights.
Cedaredge is a small mountain town in Western Colorado situated at the base of Grand Mesa. While it still has it's small town charm and quaintness, the town also has a lot to offer it's residents. The brewpub is a new addition to town, and there are also many good restaurants. The specialty shops are fun to browse...even for the locals. The merchandise is always changing. This is a wonderful place to call home.
