So I'm reading this great book by Jack Campbell (co-author of the Chicken Soup For The Soul series) called The Success Principles, that is just knocking my socks off.  I try to get in a chapter each day, and then ponder how I can apply what I've just read.  Last night my chapter began with an amazing quote that I'd like to share.

"We come this way but once.  We can either tiptoe through life and hope that we get to death without being too badly bruised or we can life a full, complete life achieving our goals and realizing our wildest dreams."

Bob Proctor

So the question I have today for you is, "What do you do in your business that helps you stay away from tiptoeing through life, and instead move you towards realizing your dreams?"

Please share your thoughts and insights.  What advice would you give to someone looking to "start their engine?"  You never know who's going to benefit from your wisdom!

Krista. To answer your question. 1st you have to have to like yourself. Then you need support from your family. Then you need short and long term goals. Treat everyone like you want to be treated. Then reward yourself often. That is my thoughts in a nutshell. Thanks for the post, Royal..

Hi Royal, and thanks for your comment!  I agree that liking yourself and truly believing that what is needed to succeed is within you is a major key.  Treat everyone like you want to be treated....amen!  That gets out of whack in our industry too often.  My nine year old and six year old keep that principle drilled into me!  Rewarding yourself often....okay, honestly that doesn't come naturally to me.  I come from a long line of workaholics and as funny as it might sound, I actually have to plan down-time.  :)

Thanks again for your wise words Royal!

Krista - I have a saying on my desk that says "What are you going to do with your one WILD and PRECIOUS life?" Sometimes I think about that with the small things happening for that day... what will I accomplish, who's life will I touch and improve... and sometimes I dream of the big things... those dreams that will not allow me to "play small"... I mentally reherse, and then take the steps to see them through.

Thank you for the inspirational thoughts this morning!

My advice would be to not be afraid of "changes".  Go for them!  If they turn out to be not what you envisioned, at least you have gained the experience and are better for it.  Take chances!  Take risks!
