They were promptly informed that their offer will probably will not be accepted because they don't have the mortgage process started. The sellers do not believe that they are able to purchase. Ooops! Heartbreaking ...
It is a fact that almost all sellers now require a pre-approval letter from a mortgage company to accompany a contract. Otherwise the sellers don't think a buyers are able to proceed with the purchase. They don't want to take their house off the market while waiting for the buyers to get pre-qualified for a home mortgage.
When it comes to start your home journey most of us get fired up just by thinking about it. The thought of acquiring a new four corners is so exciting! New house, new furniture, new decorating ideas, new neighbors - all of it make thrills us! Making a house a HOME brings so many pleasant thoughts and make us feel good. And rightfully so. However, looking for new homes should NOT be the first step of the journey. GETTING PREQUALIFIED is not as exciting but it is definitely most important. Many consider arranging for financing a daunting step in the process. But dragging your feet, putting it on a back burner or trying not to think about will 'catch up' with you when you least expect it.
Buying a house is one of the biggest and most important investments. So being familiar with the process will pay off when you find THE HOUSE and want to write an offer. The process is really not that complicated but most the time misunderstood or ignored.
