Summer Scenes From Chicago in the downtown also known as the loop. A summer stroll and people were out everywhere. I saw so many people taking photos (like me). enjoying the day out for a walk and shopping on Michigan avenue. This inspired me to capture a few photos to share with you. Enjoy your day.
Is one of those the court house? How tall is the trump building. I'm a country girl so I'm in awe.

Tammy Lankford the Trump Tower is 1730 feet (including the Spire), 98 floors. The Dirksen Federal courthouse at 219 S Dearborn court house is way south of that area and the Cook County court house is on the south side at 26th and California. The vintage white colored building is the Wrigley building, it is in the middle two photos. The bottom photo is the union carbide building which is now the Hard Rock Hotel. It is really a beautiful building.
the building at 230 N. Michigan, which houses the Hard Rock Hotel, is actually the Carbide and Carbon Building.... the company later became known as the Union Carbide company... but when the building was built, in the late 1920s, it was called the Carbide and Carbon building and that name has stuck.
Interestingly enough, (or maybe only interesting to me), back in the day when I was a student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Carbide and Carbon building was where we took our academic courses, where the University of Chicago had an adjunct campus.

Good morning Noah. Thanks for sharing the photos, some pretty amazing real estate. Donald Trump appreciates the free advertising for sure.
Make it a great week!
Thanks for sharing your photographs.
Have an outstanding week with your camera in hand.
Everything looked familiar to me - EXCEPT....
When did TRUMP emerge and where is it located? My guess would be East South Water Street or somewhere nearby? It's been a long time since I've been to downtown Chicago.
Nobody has better sky scrapers than Chicago!
Noah, great city photos, and sure looks like a beautiful day to be out and about with your camera.

Looks like those hot summer days that are often part of a Chicago summer are not interfereing with a pleasant stroll down Michigan Avenue. I love Chicago even in Winter!
