Everyone I talk to these days comments on how many more things there are to do in Spokane...... more than ever before, and the best part is the broad variety of events and entertainment.  Something for everyone.

Music events are particularly popular and draw crowds to assorted venues all over Spokane year round. A classy new place is Chateau Rive.

Chateau Rive, located in the old Flour Mill, is in downtown Spokane on the North side of the Spokane River.  The old mill re-done has a good vibe. It is worth noting it has both city and national historical designation.  Visitors to the building enjoy that very special old world ambience and it is part of the Downtown Spokane Heritage Walk.  Chateau Rive is within walking distance of Kendall Yards, a popular new housing complex.

The Mill, built in 1895, is at the river's edge where early Spokane took root and worked milling grain regularly until 1972. When Expo '74 infused massive change and excitement to Spokane's downtown core, the Old Flour Mill was renovated into restaurants and shops and enjoyed an influx of visitors and tourists (and their dollars).  Today, Chateau Rive occupies a ground floor space in the Old Flour Mill which includes a patio and grassy outdoor area with a city view. Offices, retail shops and restaurants that occupy spaces on other floors help keep the Flour Mill vibrant.
