Dow Stumbles as Chinese Market Plummets

Standard and Poor futures were down this morning as the Chinese stock market continued to wallow in heavy losses.  At the same time Walmart reported lower earnings for their most recent labors.  Together that sounded like the formula for a really bad day in equity markets here.  As it turned out, however, losses were not that bad.  One interesting piece of news today was that NAR reported that 58% of agents say open houses are worthless.  The Dow closed down a modest 33 points.

I agree about the open houses unless it is for new construction.

Open houses are a fun topic of conversation.  Some agents hate them, others won't do them, and others make a killing from them.
