Your Personal Story Matters ~ Inspiration Series

Your Personal Story Matters

Have you realized that your own personal stories are important? These stories are yours yet sharing them can impact another persons life greatly! The wisdom, lessons and experiences are important and have been given to you for a reason - to share them!

Perhaps you feel that your stories have nothing to teach or are not important. I disagree. Every situation in your life can be a learning tool even if it was a negative one. What you take from these life events is what is important.

Take a day or two to write down the most impactful events in your life. What did you learn in those situations? What were the results?

Embrace your personal stories and more importantly, share them. A lifetime of lessons can gift others with wisdom and inspiration. Your stories DO matter!

One of my personal stories that I realized that I needed to share was when I learned that I was adopted at the age of 18. Of course at the time I was shell-shocked. As time went on, the blessings that I became aware of were immense.

I learned that I had a grandmother who had been praying for me for my entire life! What an amazing gift she was bestowing upon me even though I didn't know she existed. The lesson that I learned from this was the power of prayer! It matters and it does affect those whom you are praying for.

Never, ever let those doubts creep in that tell you that your stories are not important. You never know who needs to hear them. Share them and spread the wisdom!

"Have you fully LIVED today?"

Nice post Paula. I think we all need to take some time, sit back and think about our personal journey.

Yes, I agree. There are lessons to be learned in every event of our lives, and just stopping to ponder upon that is impactful. Sharing with others, even more.

If we took the time to evaluate life's events and the lessons learned we would be amazed. It is often said "if I knew then what I know now..." but life does not work that way, does it? Live and learn each day!

Good morning Paula,

Nice tribute to your adopted parents and Grandmother.

Amazing how we look at things now compared to years ago and also reflect on how they shaped us into the people we are.

Make yourself a great day.

Great post Paula. It is interesting to make lists. The major turning points in our lives. The times we feel God has intervened in our lives, etc.

I have shared (even here on AR) some very impactful stories including one of being an abused spouse.  Wasn't an easy story to write, but I felt it might help someone else.  Some here applauded my doing so while others said this was no place for it.

Good morning Paula.  Our daughter was adopted by us when she was about 2 months old.  Because she obviously didn't look like either one of us we told her about her parents as soon as she was old enough to comprehend the news.
