Start preparing to store the patio furniture
It’s that time of year now! Autumn is a month away and it’s always good to prep yourself for putting patio furniture away.
Now now, don’t panic…we didn’t say put your furniture away NOW!
Just a friendly reminder that many Deck Boxes are on sale now. So if you think you may need a new one now is the best time to snag one up! It may be a good time to buy a patio furniture cover. We just got one that was on clearance and it was a steal!
We recommend that this time of year you slowly start washing all the cushions per the tags. Every year we spray our cushions with waterproofing spray before we put them away for the winter. Let’s face it, when summer hits you don’t want to be setting your excitement aside to spend time spraying them then.
Now is a good time to check your patio furniture for any paint chipping. You don’t want your set sitting through the winter with chipped paint because then they will rust. Check them over and spot paint if you need to.
Before you cover your chip-less furniture we also recommend giving it one last look over to make sure all screws are secure and that all the fabric is ready for next year. If a seat needs to be fixed do it now instead of waiting for it to get done in the spring. Again, you don’t want to put your spring time patio enjoyment on hold just because you put away furniture without checking it over.
So start now, start preparing to store the patio furniture now to save yourself the headache next year!
