Hummingbird Program at Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Library
The Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library will host a very special Hummingbird program titled “Hummingbirds for You; The Joy of Hummingbirds in Your Yard” on Monday August 31. 2015. The class starts at 6;30 PM and will end about 7:45 PM. Kathie Holder will present a talk all about Hummingbirds. Kathie is a birding enthusiast and probably expert. She will cover in her talk a general overview of Hummingbirds and most important how to attract these wonderful birds to your yard using both plants and birdfeeders.
Hummingbirds are starting their southerly migration to Central America and it is estimated 25 K Ruby-throated hummingbirds can potentially visit Fulshear and Katy area feeders now through the month of October.
This unique program is for adults only. It will be held in the meeting Room of the Library.

We have a Hummingbird feeder hanging in back yard but right now it is empty. Just this past weekend while I was doing yard work, I told myself I need to find out when we could expect to potentially see some of these magnificent tiny birds. A few years ago we had a few Hummingbirds visit our feeder. I have to admit I was fascinated with watching them as they are so cool. Hummingbirds are one of my favorite birds. Finding out about this class was very timely for me. I will make sure the feeder is filled on Saturday and start watching for hopefully some Hummingbird visits to our yard.
