Thank you Grace for looking and commenting! My husband grew up on that street and remembers the floors. I guess in the 70's everyone started putting shag carpeting down on them, he used to have to rake the carpet! This home belongs to the mother of his boss, the City Manager of our home town, Rockledge. The other son is COL. Danny McKnight from Blackhawk Down, he was portrayed by Tom Sizemore in the movie. Wow very interesting story Denise - I also remember raking shag carpet growning up LOL .Isn't it amazing that everyone wanted to cover up such beautiful natural flooring ( they used real wood not laminate back then ) for some wild looking varities of color i.e. orange or green shags LOL
