Don't Throw In the Towel!!!

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

Hundreds of times I have watched

people throw in the towel

at the one-yard line

while someone else comes

along and makes a fortune

by just going that extra mile

---E. Joseph Cossman

Towels - they are as old as the Middle Ages. Can you image what life would be like if there were no towels? A towel should never be taken for granted. Can you imagine what life would be like if there were no towels and people had to air dry? A Towel is a luxury - never forget that!

The smell of a fresh towel is as soothing as a new born baby. A baby's skin is so delicate and smells so good! There's nothing more beautiful than swaddling a new born baby inside a towel after one of their first baths. A peaceful sleep is almost always guaranteed for both parent and child.

In this world there are a lot of crabs. You can talk to them until you're blue in the face and many won't listen. I'm convinced too many crabs threw in the towel before they reached their full potential ©Patricia Feager.

Forgive and forget. Don't let the crabs get to you!

What is it about the towel that makes one feel more relaxed? Is there something in the water? Is there a Love Potion #9 inside the Turkish Towel? Towels come in many different colors, shapes and sizes. For some reason, the bigger and fluffier the towel, the better. At least, that's true for me. Hard, stiff towels are no fun - they are as bad as crabs that won't go away until you do something about it like change your ways.

The very first quote I memorized in second or third grade was, "A Winner never quits and a Quitter never wins. Could it be because one never throws in the towel and the other is too quick to quit?

What's the solution to a Lover's Quarrel? TOWELS.

What should you do if you have a head cold? WRAP IT IN A HOT TOWEL.

If you're stressed and you can't get out of a funk - take a dunk then wrap your self up in a great big towel. Wrap it tight. Don't throw in the towel because you ARE a winner and a "winner never quits and a quitter never wins."

Dear Kathy Streib - when I say you're the best at making others feel good about themselves, I mean it. You're the TOWEL in the rain when people need to be comforted and inspired. With humble gratitude, thank you for choosing me to be among the ones you chose to be featured this week because of an "Ah Ha" moment. Reading your weekly posts always seems like a sum of a week of celebration of people on ActiveRain and you bring along the DelRay Beach sunshine too. You continue to do good deeds and everyone knows your name!

Dearest Roy Kelley - Though you may be tired and weary, sometimes discouraged by glitches on AR you are the pulse, the heartbeat here on ActiveRain. Please, I beg of you, DON'T THROW IN THE TOWEL... no, no, at least not yet. Though you may have to slow down, don't quit. You give us the Power of the Flower, wisdom and encouragement. We ALL have to give you more power to hang on and not even think about throwing in the towel. You are of too much value and AR would not be the same without you.

Respectfully Yours and Dolores' Friend,

Patricia

Jennifer Fivelsdal - you have touched my soul in a positive way today. Thank you so much Jennifer. Writing gives me an opportunity to examine my own reason for being a part of our society. Words help me to piece together my thoughts and ideas and when others appreciate or acknowledge something I've said or done, it makes me believe I was created with a purpose. So for that, I thank you sincerely.

Patricia,

I am so glad that Kathy Streib featured this post.  I just love all the towels and the way they were shaped.  What a great way to inspire someone.  By the way, we both love bath sheets after our showers, and I just ordered two of them yesterday.  Towels rule.  A

Ron and Alexandra Seigel and Sharon Tara - Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you and that I think you're great? You are!!!

Sharon, creativity flows through every bone in your body. When it comes to the appreciation of the arts and how you put together colors, shapes, and sizes I am always amazed. You always make other peoples homes look fresh and bright! You have the gift!

Alexandra, there is always wisdom in your words. You've traveled around the world enough to know so much more than me.  I always appreciate your compliments. You have a way of sharing your thoughts and ideas to a broader audience with class and good taste too.

Thank you both so much!!!

Even worse then quiting is never trying. At least you can learn something, the true success stories always go the extra mile when many give up at the worst part.
