In another loving move to get cats out of the local animal shelter, the Humane Society of Broward County, FL., Fort Lauderdale, FL. has started a new initiative: Office Cats. Local businesses, willing to 'foster' a cat, will be matched with a cat by the shelter who will provide the cat food, litter & toys. Prior to becoming Office Cats, the felines are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, de-wormed and treated for fleas and ticks. The shelter will also showcase the cats on its website. In return, the businesses agree to feature their Office Cats & stories on their websites and allow clients and employees ready access to the animals. The idea is to find suitable adoptive families for the cats. Already a local business, paired with two cats, believes that both will soon be adopted. Now, how purrfect is that??
