There's no need to leave your pet in a cramped kennel for a week... numerous ResortQuest Outer Banks homes allow your dog to vacation with you!

Our "dog" homes allow two domestic, housebroken dogs with a weight limit of 75 pounds each, unless otherwise noted within the home's description. Browse our "Dogs Welcome" homes.

Beach Rules Headed to the beach? Bring your furry friend! A day at the beach can be an enjoyable time for both pets and their owners. Please be courteous and clean up after your pet. All pet waste must be collected immediately and deposited in appropriate containers. If you are headed to the beach, please be aware of the Outer Banks local leash / pet laws.

Hints What could be better than taking your best friend to the beach with you to enjoy a nice day by the water? Whether you're playing catch, swimming in the ocean or running along the shore, the beach can be fun and rewarding for both pets and their owners. However, while the Outer Banks offers many hours of fun for all, please be aware that a day at the beach could put your dog at risk for some of the following situations. Follow these helpful hints to ensure the safety of your dog while playing at the beach.

First Aid

There are a variety of places on the Outer Banks to take your dog should he or she need first aid, grooming, boarding, or any kind of veterinary care. Each has a compassionate staff ready to serve you...and your dog.

This is great information to know if you are traveling with your dog. We like to take our little one so this would be wonderful info if we were headed to the outer banks. Great photos, Cindy!

Wow Cindy...thanks for this info. We have a Shih Tzu that we don't like to board and we are limited to where we can take her. Wonderful post and thanks for sharing...maybe Hannah will get to go on vacation after all!
