Wondering where to eat in little Franklin, NC?

The Bowery is newest restaurant that opened up in downtown Franklin North Carolina, February 4th, 2015.  It has brought life back after 5pm on Main St.  There are a number of other good places to eat but nothing like this and its refreshing to have here in our little town.

It started with a builder (Brett Murphy - Arrowood Construction) and a restaurateur (Charlie Hyland) seeing a need to revive The Bowerydowntown Main Street and to open a restaurant that was as extraordinary as the ones found in larger cities. They took inspiration from the Bowery district in New York and blended it with local Appalachian characteristics and southern style cuisine.

Ideas, goals and a passion were in place but the building had long been vacant and was in disrepair. It took months of hard work and equally dedicated investors to revive the location and outfit it with a kitchen suitable for newly appointed Executive Chef Ken Naron.

Their atmosphere is simply awesome and different than anywhere else in Franklin, NC.  The food was excellent and the prices I was pleasantly surprised at.  The menu changes with the seasons as they use local produce.  They also have an extensive wine list and a full bar.

I highly recommend trying this newest place out!

They've got mostly good reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor.  I've seen so many restaurants come and go in Franklin over the years; I truly hope they make it.

We'll be sure to eat there next time we are in Franklin!

That's nice that the menu changes with the season to give diners some variety. I will have to check it out if I am ever in the area.
