It's a New Work Week. Make it Count.

It's Monday!  It's the beginning of the last work week and the last week in August!  What will you do this week to enhance your business?  And what are you planning for next month so you can end the third quarter of the year strong?

One Monday, I update my sellers on the status of their listing.  I tell them what's active, pending and sold in their market area during the past week.  I tell them about showings and feedback for the past week.  Then I make any recommendations for the listing.  If the listing is pending, I let them know where we are in the process and what will come next so they know what to expect as we move towards closing.

One Tuesdays, I update my buyers on where we stand with our search, review properties we may have looked at and let them know if the property is still active or has had a price change.  We have  a discussion on changes in their needs or wants.  I update those under contract on where their loan is and what to expect next.

If I don't update my customers as stated, they email and call me to see what is wrong.  This tells me that they look forward to my updates, even if nothing is new!

Daily, I write hand written notes, work on social media, blogging , marketing, networking and make calls to my database.  My goals is 25 handwritten notes and calls a week.

Showing arrangements and appointments and searching the MLS are daily tasks, too.

If you are struggling to keep on track, write down the tasks you need to do each day and week.  Check that list often.

Here's a my schedule for this week :

I list things that have to be done on a specific date on the left by day.  I list things that can be done during the week on the right.  When I have time in the day during the week, I pick a task on the right and work on it.  This is my rough schedule for the week.  I have a few things that are not on the schedule yet but it illustrates a plan that I have used for many years to keep focused.

Have a great week!

If you aren't planning to succeed, you are planning to fail.

Great schedule, Dee.  Most importantly, you are creating it and performing it.  As one of my mentors has told me... do TODAY, that is better than yesterday!!

Yes, Dan Hopper !  Don't put things off until the last minute.  It causes too much stress.

Now, could we get lenders on board with this concept?
