The USPS is going green and has approved reusable envelopes, can you imagine if we all used these! EcoEnvelopes unique design allows re use of something that we throw away on a daily basiGreen Eco Envelopes.

The founder is a former organic farmer and beekeeper. 80 billion reply envelopes are sent through the US mail each year, what if 80,000 Active Rain Realtors used these envelopes, think about it...we are usually sending stuff right back to each other. Here is the press release below.

This looks awesome.  The only problem I can think of would be the recipient not knowing it was reusable and throwing it away.  Is this problem compensated for?

That is a really good idea.  I should have thought of that.  I imagine there is a lot trash created with all the paper from mail... especially all the junk mail.  Its a good time to try to do something to conserve.

Hi Elaine - this sounds great!

I was at the post office a couple of weeks ago changing a business address. Because I receive mail in my personal name I had to fill out two separate forms. The forms came in a packet with several advertisements (must have been 10 pages in each) that all went into the trash - twice.

I shook my head at what a shame as I only need one small piece of paper out of both packets. Glad to see they are trying to do something more tree friendly! I hope people will reuse the envelopes.
