Some realtor associations are warning home sellers about so called pocket listings. These types of listing are ones that are not published in the Multiple Listing Service, better known as MLS, like most homes are.
Savvy realtors may use a pocket listing to quickly sell a home, like Fort Myers luxury homes, Boca Raton luxury homes, or Weston luxury homes, in what is now a very tight housing market with potential buyers outpacing the number of available homes.
While pocket listings are not necessarily illegal, home owners should know that a pocket listing deprives their property of a broader listing, which may increase competition and may help boost the sales price.
