A Blog Post About Nothing?
I was (am) a huge Seinfeld fan. I love how they took the ordinary things that happen, or could happen, in our daily lives and made them funny. There really is so much humor in simply waiting for a table at a Chinese restaurant, isn't there?
For those who don't know (really? are there any?), at one point there was a season when the concept of Seinfeld was being pitched as a TV show to NBC within the sitcom itself; layer upon layer of humor. What I remember was George and Jerry saying things like "you went to the dry cleaners.....THAT'S a show."That's pretty much what the show was about...creating funny moments out of ordinary days.
It made me think about blogging on a regular basis. While humor might not always play a part (although I think the best have some entertainment value), we are taking aspects of our normal day and work day, and creating content.
- You showed a home today....THAT'S a post.
- There was an odd outlet at the home inspection....THAT'S a post.
- The lender went on vacation and no one has the file....THAT's a post.
You get my drift? While there are funny, frustrating and unusual things that pop up to write about, sometimes they are just stories about our day and how we helped a client.
You're a real estate professional.....THAT'S a post.
