New Fairfield Land Trust, New Fairfield, CT

Several weeks ago we had the music event around Ball Pond in New Fairfield, CT. This week-end the New Fairfield Land Trust is sponsoring "ART AROUND THE POND". This is a fund-raiser for the Land Trust.

When: Saturday, August 29, 2015

Time: 12:00 Noon - 5:00 PM

Where: New Fairfield Senior Center AND Komlo Preserve (across the street from Senior Center - look for the balloons marking the entrance to the preserve).

Events: Art Display at Senior Center, contributed by local artists

Silent Auction, starting at Noon

Light refreshments will be served.

The New Fairfield Land Trust got its start only in 1998, but has accomplished much in a short period of time. In addition to the Komlo Preserve, the Trust has "rescued", or preserved 13 other open parcels of land in New Fairfield, for a total of 220 acres. Those areas are now all accessible to the public and should be in perpetuity. Many of the preserves are great for hiking, birding or just enjoying nature.

Come out, enjoy the nice day and support our local New Fairfield Land Trust.

Roy Kelley - I did have a chance to stop in. The art was amazing, the preserve beautiful and peaceful. It was a perfect day and attendance was good for spreading awareness.
