Opportunity Missed

I know that in the past I have been hyped up over something new that I wanted to implement into my business.  Then for the next few weeks I would hit it hard because I was so excited about the possible opportunity.  Then before I knew it the work gets harder and harder.  Sometimes I would end up stopping even though I thought was great.

If only I would have listened to this quote:

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
Thomas A. Edison

It is very exciting to find new opportunities to grow our business, but most important is the fact that we still have to work very hard at that opportunity.  I have learned from my mistakes about taking on new opportunities.

I have learned to be true to myself and really evaluate if this opportunity fits into my plan.  If it does then I will integrate it into my business.  If it doesn't then I will dismiss it and never think about it again.

I am always approached by things that distract me from my plan and goals.  I know that the harder I work the less likely I am to become distracted by other things.   Seek out opportunities that will fit your plan and work them to death.
