Hi everyone-I just finished reading the book by Joyce Meyer called "THE POWER OF SIMPLE PRAYER-How to talk to GOD about Everything".

I must say that it is such a wonderful book and I have received SO much from it. I fell like I could and should read this one again. It has helped me to have a more intimate prayer life. It brought alot of insight on forgiveness, to focus on others and not to be selfish. I could go on and on about this jammed packed book.

I prayed everyday but I felt I needed and wanted more and with this book, it has really helped me in all areas of my life. I would highly encourage anyone seaking a better prayer life and more on GOD's word...get his book.

Hi Alex- I did read The Purpose Driven Life" and really enjoyed it and our church did the 40 Days of Purpose as well. I have heard about My Utmost for His highest...who is the author for that one...I will check it out. Thanks and God Bless!

Patty, that is great!!! I like her. She is great to watch. God teaches us all kinds of ways to pray to Him, through David, Daniel, Paul, John, Peter, Jesus, and many others. God wants authentic prayer. He doesn't want rituals, or repetitious phrases, that we repeat without thought. We are to be thoughtful, when we pray. We are to pray from our heart and spirit.
