Take a Drink from the Real Estate Fountain of Youth!

Many new real estate investors wish they would have started investing earlier in life.  I often hear from others, if I would have only started earlier!  The key is at least you started NOW!  You are never to old to start investing in real estate.  New fortunes are created every year.  There are many successful late bloomers in life.  However, remember time is of the essence!

Tick tock! Tick tock! Tick tock!  Time goes by fast in life. Sometimes life can be like a vacation and you wonder where time has went.  When I was in High School, one of my teachers, Mr. Nafta, had a sign by the clock on the wall that read "Time will pass, will you?"

Are we clock watchers when it comes to school, work or our real estate business? Do you pass time or does time pass you by? Do we often make the most out of what little time we do have? Seize the day! - Carpe diem!  Are you going to make it happen or are you waiting or expecting too much from others?  Your realtors may only be able to do so much.  What else are you doing to get this busienss going?

The biggest thing I hear from clients about real estate is they all wish they would have started sooner. No matter if they are 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or even 80! The key is you started and that's all that counts!

So often in life people dwell too much about the past. They spend all their time looking back through the rear view mirror of life when today will pass them right by if they were only looking out their front windshield instead. Life. Like a winding road does have some twists and turns at times but we do our best to navigate the road ahead.  You have the POWER to change your futureand the power to learn from your past!

I sometimes think about many other successful people in life that got off to a later start than others.

Some of these people include:

Stan Lee, the comic book artist of Spiderman, was 43 years old when he began drawing his legendary comic book super heroes.

Julia Child was 40 years old before she even learned to cook!

Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chicken KFC was 66 years old when he began creating his fast food chicken empire

Clint Eastwood directed his first film at 41 and continues to direct future classics today.

Ronald Reagan became the governor of California at the age of 61 and later became President of the United States of America.

Benjamin Franklin signed the Declaration of Independence at the age of 70.

So as you can see it is never too late. The key is you started. You also have to ask yourself if one day your name will be on that list of late bloomers too!

This past Summer we were in St. Augustine, Florida and visited the legendary Fountain of Youth. The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is made up of a 15 acre waterfront, Historical Site where St. Augustine, Florida began in the year of 1565.

As you can see, you are never too old to turn your dream into a reality. Take a drink form the Fountain of Youth and be sure to keep looking out your windshield instead of your rear view mirror! Real Estate could be your Fountain of Youth! Go make it happen.

Joe,

So many people don’t even have a dream. One of the best ways to get a compelling dream is to get around people who do have a dream AND are working on it.

David, thanks for the input.  You are so right so many people don't have dreams and goals and they do not know why they are really doing what they are doing in life.  It is important to have a dream with a deadline.  Go make it a great day!  Beieve and Achieve! :) - Joe
