Do you remember this commercial on pollution in America. They were very well done for their time. Always ended with a close up of the tear on the Native Americans face. There were several done using the same actor. Not sure how effective they were but they did have an impact on me. I have passed on the importance of taking care of our planet to our children. My middle daughter has surpassed me and become quite the recycler. Hope you enjoy and share your memories.

Good afternoon Bob,

A great reblog and a commercial that should be brought back and updated with some of the newer problems happening to our water.

Make yourself a great day.

Hello Bob,  I remember this one and they should still have it on.  Did I miss you in Denver this past month.

I still love this commercial! I saw some pictures of the free parking beach that is located near my house and it was a tragic mess. I am thinking that while this commercial did bring about awareness.... they need to do more.

On another note I am sorry I have not commented on your posts but have been busy. I am actually waiting on a client right this minute.

I don't remember seeing that commercial at all, but then again I was pretty young in the 70's, such an important message though!

I'm afraid I don't remember this commercial. I don't even remember if I had a television to watch in the 1970's. I was too busy studying in school or library, trying to graduate. My only memories of the 1970s was going to High School, marriage, having two kids, and buying my first house. Yes! Those things I remember but I was cognizent of taking care of the environement.

That video was very impactful! This is the first time I saw it and it brings tears to my eyes too.

Yes, I absolutely remember it, and I still feel like this Native American. I have to pick up trash that people throw out their car windows often. It is one of my few hot button. It takes very little effort to do the right thing, but there are so many people who just don't care.
