THE PAY OFF IS THERE

Decades ago, I decided to look into the subject of gambling from a research point of view. I wanted to know if there was s such a thing as advantage when rolling the dice so to speak. You see we all have heard that house always wins and I found this to be true. So how does one win when they do? That's my question and I pursued it

THE MICRO-CHIP

I read several books on slot machines. While all were revealing, they had one thing in common. They could not go past a certain point of information. They stopped short of the "chip" the micro kind which is what drives the unit to do what it does. All other information was top secret

IS THE WIN...IN?

Its a program! A series of applications designed to kick in once the machine is engaged. It has settings on it that can range from "loose" to stubborn with the huge carrot attached to get you to find out which one it is eventually. Technically, everything is built to play but not to win unless they make it so

A FALSE GIVE & TAKE

Its the "win" that is tampered with, regulated and granted or held back. The slot can be programmed to tease that is to allow a win in return for more play. Lets face it, if we don't get some kind of encouragement, not only do we move on, but the word of mouth says...the slots are dead

OBSERVATION

Who knows this better than anyone? The people who work the casinos day after day. Ask anyone there, where are the slots that may pay and they have something to say based on what they have seen while there. Their information is valuable as they are tracking without knowing it by virtue of observation

MARCO-POLO

I once asked a former manager of a casino that I had good fortune to meet (pun) about the winning/losing dynamics. The one thing he said that stood out was that they daily programmed a very loose slot in different places every day in the casino. The players had to find it

HIT & MISS

This jibed with what I read in those books. It said to go up to a slot, always play the maximum and dump ten dollars. If no win or no gut read, move on to the next one. You end up going down a row until you hit something. Then, play that something and see where it goes

ROW ROW AFTER ROW...

I decided to go test this one day. I took limited amount of money, went to Vegas, and as a experiment, began. I found a row. I played as described. Nothing. I moved on. Repeated. Nothing. I moved on, then a win. Stayed, then nothing. I went to about 15 machines one after another and then took a break

FOUND YOU!

I then started a new row and what to you know? First pull $1200 dollars just like that. I was encouraged. I then moved around doing the same thing while asking questions of the refreshments ladies as to what section is paying better than others. I followed their input but who really knows

PAY-OFF

I once a found a machine that was paying off every other pull. It was being played by a woman who had lots of winnings in front of her. She just couldn't lose. I am standing there and she says, I have to catch a plane. Do you want my place on this slot. Oh yes...YES sez I

HEY...BUDDY

Same thing for me. Every other pull, $50. then $25, then $75 and then back to small wins then to medium ones. This went on for about an hour. The winnings, slow but sure, started to resemble my plane fare for my entire family. People gathered. I had to catch a plane. I gave it to the next guy

BINGO?

In another instance, I found the loose one right away. It was at the front door of a well known casino when you walk in. It was one of those giant ones and it was designed to attract attention and pay-off. Every pull was given me serious money ($50-$100) until I worked up to about $1300.

CONTROLLED WINNING

The whole thing proved my point. They let you win or they don't. It is a controlled environment and they never lose any where near what would affect their bottom line. I thought how these casinos, the slots and the circumstances mirrored life in a way

IF YOU GOT UP TODAY...YOU WON

You get up in the morning, you already have a winning stake. You enter into your day looking for that opportunity or circumstance to better it whether it be personal or professional doesn't matter and you keep going and never knowing but expecting. Something always comes around...guaranteed

Best part about life? Its no gamble! You have it! Now, you have to figure out what to do with it and that takes experimenting, seeking, testing and a desire to know. May you win big in this game of life

I don't gamble for good reason. I work hard for my money and I'm not in the habit of just giving it away to wealthy casino owners.

Hi Richie Alan Naggar ,  I went to Vegas once and lost $400 in 30 minutes and gave up. It cured my appetite for gambling.  I stay away from it.

Hello Larry Johnston ...imagine coming to my house and losing that kind of money. We would all help you look for it until found. In Vegas, they help you lose it...

Brian England ...you're the designated..."hold the winning purse" guy.

Hello Lou Ludwig ...the concept of risking to gain is not new. HOW is worth looking into however....Gambling? Yes, but no the Vegas way. For the weary and faint of heart, calculated risks will do just fine

It proves my "gambling point"....if I was lucky on a certain machine on one trip, you have to pick another one on the next trip...because I know another one had been programmed too....the trick is to find it of course. Life is a gamble...self employment adds to the game.....and the challenge is to beat the odds of failure and win !

Go interesting about casinos, Richie...never was a gambler and that holds true in life too. I play life like a roulette wheel.........but always know my odds. You need to take some risk to succeed especially as a self employed entrepreneur. If I ever go gambling I am calling you first for tips!

Richie, exactly why I do not gamble.  Think I work too hard to throw it away so carelessly.   Business is better, you work hard, it usually pays off!
