I was reading the article in the magazine today from Realty Trac and it was interesting they say the best day to buy a home is October 8th as you tend to pay 10.8% less than the value of the home for the last fifteen years. It was also said that October followed by February, July, December and January were the next best months to buy for bargain hunters
The best month to sell was April with sellers gaining 1.2% over value.
The best day of the week to buy was Monday followed by Friday and the worst day to be on Thursday.
The very worst day to buy is January 19th with sellers gaining a 9.6% premium.
No wonder they run the commercials for now is the time to buy in these months!
So buyers if your looking to buy you have a few days before the October 8th date to find that bargain if these numbers are correct!
It looks like Open Houses should be Wednesday or Thursday to get the home sold for the best price; there goes my Sunday naps just joking!
