Are You Up for Some Pulled Pork? ... or Lobster Rolls? ... or Chicken? ... or Pierogis?... or a LOT more? Don't cook on Thursday, September 17, 2015 because the FOOD TRUCKS ARE ROLLING IN TO SHELTON CT!
The Parent Child Resource Center (PCRC) is once again hosting the second annual “Food Trucks in the Valley” at the Shelton River Walk, corner of Cornell and Canal Street, Shelton CT, on Thursday, September 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rain date is Tuesday, September 22.
What is better than attending a fun family event AND supporting a worthy organization like PCRC. In addition to the 25+ food trucks, there will be live music, a car show, and childrens’ activities.
I attended last year, and it was a HUGE success.... an estimated hungry crowd of over 5,000! There were about 15 trucks, but this year it will be expanded to 25+.
Not only did I see SO many people I know from Shelton and beyond, I even ran into family members I had not seen in a while and we all ate to our hearts' content together.
I would suggest that you get there earlier rather than later as lines can be long. There was such a surge of visitors last year, some trucks had a hard time keeping up with the demand.
Everything I had, and the rest of my group had, was so delicious. So far, This year there will be a lobster roll, pierogies and a reuben with my name on them! ...... for starters. Have to diet before...... and after!!
The PCRC has been serving families in Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, Shelton and the surrounding towns since 1975. The center provides behavioral health services to children who suffer from behavioral and emotional problems, trauma, abuse, and neglect. The programs provided help the affected children and their families overcome many emotional and behavioral hardships.
