More showings, More Phone Calls-Not great, not bad, JUST GOOD

It seems that things are picking up in my part of the world. In the last three weeks I have received more phone calls, more emails and have shown more houses. I suppose I wanted to blog about this because it always seems that we have plenty of news, blogs and articles about the negative downside of the market but most folks are quiet when it comes to talking about the good side.

Great, thriving markets we see lots of press on..everyone can  brag (if they have time), or tell the story about 4 offers on one house in 2 hours, the story about I puchsed it for this much and sold it for this much wow!

But the just good market, possibly a back to normal market, a steady market is quiet.

It's about time we changed that. I believe in the power of positive thoughts. I know in the past just when I think  things are good and steady they are. If everyone can start thinking the positive and letting go of the negative we can have just a good market for awhile.

My goal, I am going to make a point to tell everyone I know that the market seems good, better then yesterday not as increidble as the past boom. but good and steady. The more homes I show the more I see incredible deals just needing, begging to be picked up by someone looking to take some money out of the stock market and let it rest with real estate for a while. What a good time to buy.

My true belief, better do it now while it is quiet and good, not bad, not great but just quiet and good. As we all know when it swings up it happens quickly and then everyone wants to get on, that is the easy part....I am going to keeping talking about just the good market, the steady not bad market, over an over again and hope everyone remembers to mention the good.

Yes, it is definitely picking up here in the St. Louis, MO area.  I'm getting more phone calls and more showings.  The sales are coming....!  :)

Picking up here in my area of PA.  I just had 2 of my listings go under contract.  Funny thing is:  I've gotten 2 calls on one of them and 4 calls on the other one from agents who's buyers were just "on the fence" just waiting to see what was happening.  I know what was happening (on at least these 2 listings)... we were taking offers.  I felt bad for the people that were just waiting around.. We've had multiple 3rd and 4th showings on the homes and then nothing.  Now that they are under contract, I'm getting calls to keep them in the loop should something "happen" with the offer etc.

Like you said:  Not great but good.  Busy is good.  I'm happy for my sellers.
