We have had a few weeks of rain and the ground is saturated to say the least. Flash floods used to be big news, but seem the norm for the last few weeks! Still thought I would share yesterdays  with you. This was shot just North of Holualoa Village in Kona Hawaii - heart of Kona Coffee Country!

I love living on an island :)

Driving just north of Holualoa Village I came across this flash flood. I have driven this road for 15 years and never seen water in it - today was a different story!

Might as well share the one from 2 weeks ago also, different area, actually the flood channel behind my house in Kona. I have lived in this house for 14 years, only seen water in the channel 4 times, until a month ago, now I have seen it 8 times!

99.99% were ok, but someone decieded to swim in a danger area on the other side of the island and was swept away.

Luckily most of the homes were ok also.
