Want to Go Shopping at the Medical Supply Store?
Me Neither.
The things that come up in real estate can be really interesting and seemingly not related to real estate.
I was holding open house at one of my listings. The client, who is in her early 70's hadn't left the house yet. We started chatting and she mentioned that her doctor had advised her she needs to march in place for seven minutes a day to improve her strength and endurance.
I asked her her how the marching was coming along. Did she feel better? Stronger? She said she'd never done it. What? Why? I told her to get up and I'd march in place with her.
She didn't want to do it. She gave me a look. I gave her a look.
Then I asked her if she'd rather march in place for seven minutes a day or if she's looking forward to shopping at the medical supply store for a walker.
She reluctantly got up and we marched in place for seven minutes. I asked her to send me a text each day after she did her seven minute march. She's been marching regularly and I'm really proud of my nice client!
She was happy to report that she has more energy and can make it up and down the stairs more easily when she visits her daughter's house. She seemed genuinely surprised that marching in place would help her! She even said she thinks she ought to increase her time and add arm movements. I thought that was so cool.
My client started calling me her coach. I said all I did was give her a little push. Now, she jokingly calls me her pusher.
Keep moving. Every little bit helps.
