Daytona Beach FL Condo Prices Fell In August

An analysis by The Wyse Condo Team at Keller-Williams Realty in Port Orange, FL, showed an increase in the number of condos and condotels sold in the Daytona Beach area in August, compared to both a month and a year earlier. However, the median sales prices for condos was down by roughly 10 percent. 

In August, the Daytona Beach MLS shows 125 condos and condotels sold in the Daytona Beach area with a median sales price of $163,000. One year earlier in August 2014, 118 condos and condotels sold with a median sales price of $181,250.  Just 82 condos and condotels sold a month prior in July 2015 with a median sales price of 197,950. 

“Despite the median price decline in August, we saw gains in the number of condo sales both year over year and month over month,” said Ron Wysocarski, leader of The Wyse Condo Team and The Wyse Home Team at Keller Williams Realty in Port Orange. “I think the market continues to be strong as we head into the fall and winter condo sales season.” 

 

Daytona Beach Condo and Condotel Sales: 

  • August 2015: 125 condo/condotels sold with a median sales price of $163,000
  • August 2014: 118 condo/condotels sold with a median sales price of $181,250.
  • July 2015: 82 condo/condotels sold with a median sales price of $197,950.
  • July 2014: 106 condo/condotels sold with a median sales price of $125,700.
  • YTD 2015: 924 condo/condotels sold with a median sales price of $165,000.
  • YTD 2014:  880 condo/condotels sold with a median sales price of $155,000. 

 

Data for Condos and Condotels separated: 

  • August 2015: 116 condos sold with a median price of $173,500.
  • August 2015: 9 condotels sold with a median price of $52,500.
