It's that time of year again, folks. The 2015 Lake Havasu Great Pineapple Race sails away tomorrow. It's a little late to get a team together to join in on the racing. However, visitors and residents of our great Havasu community are more than welcome to come out and cheer the teams on to victory.

2015 Lake Havasu Great Pineapple Race

The 2015 Lake Havasu Great Pineapple Race is unlike anything you've ever seen before. The competition is made up of five person teams dressed up in tribal costume. If clothes make the man, what does that say about these guys? Crazy, that's what! The costumes are all part of the fun of the event. Everyone in the competition is a member of the Lake Havasu Hospitality Association.

The 2015 Lake Havasu Great Pineapple Race kicks things off at Ramada #4 on the Island at 4:55pm. Each tribe/team will paddle up to the starting line at the South end of Bridgewater Channel. The 1/4 mile "track" ends at the dog park. Winners will be announced at 7pm. Beer (for 21+ year old guests), non-alcoholic beverages and food will be available for purchase. If you plan on drinking alcohol, just make sure you have a valid photo ID with you. Otherwise, you will not be served.
