Kristin, that's one of those sounds that I SO love. I captured that very sound for my water feature at my old house on Northshore Drive. Took my landscape guy over there and said, "this is the sound I want to capture!"

Tammy Lankford that area always stays pretty lush. Deep in the woods with some filtered sunlight. That's what much of this area looks like in the Coastal Range of Oregon.

Dick Greenberg those are new trees, planted for the purpose of creating shade for salmon (eventually) and holding back erosion. They do this for free all over and came to our ranch and did this along our creek boundary as well. The salmonids (juveniles) fare better in cooler waters in the summer especially. These little treelings are protected by green fine mesh netting. Thus the newspaper "look".
