The wedding planners are pleased to share the upcoming marriage of Mr. Tex Rain to Miss Molly Blogger. Rumors have been rampant so it is with much joy we are finally able to make it official. All of the plans came together at the recent Active Rain gathering in Bandera Texas at the Pomarosa RV Park. The scenic spot in the heart of the Hill Country was the perfect setting. Tex had decided to wait and spring the big question to Miss Molly during the gathering so he would have all his blogger buddies present and he also knew that each AR person present would certainly have their cameras ready to record the momentous occasion, and that they did. Tex who is the mascot for the Texas Real Estate group was introduced to everyone by founder Liz Carter, along with her partner in the group Marchel Peterson. Soon after Tex was officially made the groups mascot they voted on his name. Carl Winters who did some shady thing to make sure he was named Tex, introduced him to Miss Molly, and the rest as they say is history.
It has been a storybook romance on the range from the start, so none of us were to surprised when Tex mooed the question to Miss Molly while kneeling on his right hoof and leg. He presented her with an engagement ring that is white gold, and has a perfect image of Miss Molly's longhorn face on it. Then the fun really began with all the excitement of making plans for the upcoming wedding, which is sure to be the event of the year on Active Rain. We are sure the wedding will be attended by thousands of active rain bloggers as well as the Big Shots of AR. All of their fellow longhorns and other special guest will also be receiving wedding invitations shortly. Of course we also have the engagement party, the wedding showers to plan, and shopping trips to buy the many things needed for such a large and illustrious wedding. Oh and planning where they are going on their honeymoon...so many things to do and get ready for and talk about.
Miss Molly selected a wedding planning party which includes from left to right, Carl Winters,Debra A. Brooks, Judi Morgan, Liz Carter, Ceil Winters (now known as BWP), Marchel Peterson , Ricki Eichler, and not pictured, Dale Baker. We did make some arrangements after all the excitement died down. It will be a June wedding, and they decided to have the reception and wedding at the same spot where Tex mooed out his proposal of marriage to Miss Molly...he is so romantic. The group is standing in the pasture by the lake where the wedding is now scheduled to be held.
The spot will be perfect; it has a large pasture with a lake and lots of shade trees. Of course it will be an outdoor wedding to take full advantage of the breathtaking beauty of the Hill Country. The Tumbleweed Hotel is on site for guest staying overnight, the Stagecoach Saloon is right beside the hotel, and of course the large reception hall were we had our BBQ is there. There is parking for RV's, and lots of pastures for all their Longhorn friends to gather.
We will be meeting here on this post every Saturday night to finish out all the details, and everyone is invited to participate in the planning along with the Wedding Planners. Ms. Ceil Winters, now forever know as BWP will be in charge of the group. There are lots of decisions to make so please bring all your great ideas to the Saturday night meetings. Some things that need to be found and decided on are all the "normal" things for a glorious Longhorn Wedding. Bridesmaids, Groomsman, wedding party, colors, dresses, tux's or jeans, flowers, cakes, rings, honeymoon spots, party favors, invitations, places for the showers and engagement party, food, catering, transportation. Guess that should be one of our fist tasks...make of a list of items needed? So help spread the word about the Active Rain Engagement and upcoming Wedding of Mr. Tex Rain and Miss Molly Blogger. As I said it is sure to be THE EVENT OF THE YEAR ON ACTIVE RAIN, so make sure you get the date marked in your calendars...this is one wedding no one should miss! Everyone on active rain is invited, so watch for your invitations
Also everyone is welcome to come by and give Mr. Tex Rain & Miss Molly their ideals. Everyone and all their friends are talking about nothing else.

Oh Ms. Liz, you have been busy with all these wedding plans for TEX Rain and Miss Molly. I'm beginning to think you are right; it is going to be a Texas size wedding. What if all 84,000 AR's participate in this Texas size shing-dig, they will need a whole wagon train to move all the presents to the new pasture.
Well Dale you have been busy. I'll have to get Ceil to take a look at all these wedding cakes and flowers. Looks to me like some major decisions will have to be made.
Hey everyone, I'm here finally!!! Looks like we have a lot of ideas to look over and help Miss Molly make some important decisions. I plan to take her shopping to set up the bridal registry's. Seems the store managers don't want Mr. Tex in their stores. Something about having a "Bull in a china shop being bad for business and inventory". Hmph...what do they know.

Good Morning All Texans and Beyond - This is Ceil; known to some as BWP, nickname given by Ms. Liz. I have been given permission by my better half, Carl of almost 45 years, to use his comment space to help plan the upcoming event of the marriage of TEX & MOLLY.
Been reading some of the information that Ms. Liz has presented and sounds mighty good. I agree with Ms. Liz to open the wedding planning to othrs that do not live in this Great State of Texas and make it an Active Rain affair. Since I'm in charge, it is done, open to all who wish to participate wth this Big Wedding.
We will be making A Checklist so we don't get ahead of each other with this Upcoming Event.

Next on this Agenda is to work on the "Shower Invitation" & Date. I say let's nominate Ricki Eichler & Team to take care of the Wedding Shower for Tex & Miss Molly (includes suggestions from all AR members). Let us know about the Shower Plans as time is getting close. We will help starting a list of people and farm friends we would like to invite so we don't miss any of our friends and family. Don't forget refreshments to be served at the shower for Tex and Miss Molly. Please be in charge to get the "preacher" maybe Alan since he is experienced with performing weddings. Ricki is in charge of the "music and entertainment", maybe Marchel, Deb and others can help.
Next Agenda Item: Since Ms. Judi Morgan is in such a hurry to go shopping, I suggest we nominate Ms. Judi & team of Active Rain members to help Ms. Judi with the shopping for the wedding party. This will include bridal party attire, beauty shop appointments, nail treatment (hoof & paint), environmental air freshening wash, etc.
Parking, lodging, decorations and incidentials by Dale Baker, and the Original Wedding Planners and all Active Rain members.
Photography - Marchel and Deb, Photography. Keep track of the Bride's Guest list with Ricki. Since we expect a big crowd of friends and family this is a tremendous job. Please kee up with all the presents and thank you notes. Please work with Tex & Miss Molly on the "honeymoon". Maybe a dude ranch somewhere nice in The Texas Hll Country. Ricki and Don may want to help with this Honeymoooon.
Ms Liz and I will be in charge of food (Tex & Miss Molly would prefer that we do not serve beef) ???

Hey BWP, I'll be happy to go shopping. I get to help Ms. Molly find her wedding dress and trousseau??? WOW!!! What an honor! Beauty shop appointments, manicure/pedicure hooficure, spa day at the local "spa". Wedding attire for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and music for the wedding and reception.
Great choice for the wedding photographer -- Mr. Tom Plant does take fabulous pictures! :)
Ricki, I found some really nice wedding and shower gifts already -- will share them later.
Are we suppose to start our own post(s) sharing the details of each of our parts of the wedding plans? That would probably keep it more organized.
BWP,aka Ceil Winters, WOW you have done an outstanding job of getting us organized, this planning list is perfect and the (Tex & Miss Molly would prefer that we do not serve beef)...priceless! We already have the beer compliments of Elizabeth, and heres a few more things I picked up. Snakes, special drinks a chicken dish (as requested...no beef).

Carl gave us the go ahead for the Million Dollars - $1,000.000.00 but says not one penny more. When he runs the audit he wants to account for every single receipt so be sure to keep your receipts. I hear Ms. Judi is already trying to make moves on Dale to get some of his money since he is getting some of the parking expenses for free. We need to keep an eye on Ms. Judi.

I just love animal parties! What absolute fun you all are having. waahhhhhhhhh! I wanna live in Texas! Fabulous, Liz... just fills my heart with such joy to read the story of this very special wedding.
Howdy Y'all, Been gone all weekend checking out Elsie the singing cow. She has a very boistrous voice and you will be able to hear her all across the pasture so no need for extra sound equipment. A small microphone will do. That will save money for other expenses. She does insist however on her own special quarters and all she can eat while she is there. That could run up the food bill. We have the loafing shed at the Pomarosa RV Park originally built for traveling horses but Ms. Elsie can have it all to herself if that OK with you guys and gals.
Mz. Liz suggested she sing "Good Golly Miss Molly". I think that would be a fine selection. Just let me know if you are ready to hire her. She has a busy schedule and we need to know right away. Thanks, Ricki :)
Deb Brooks is busy making plans for the cake and all the refreshments. Deb has found the Body Guards already. Good Job Deb!
Marchel Peterson is our grand Photographer and will be busy before , during and after the shower and the wedding filming all the happenings. Video and still shots will be needed. Marchel is also planning the decorations for the shower.
Preacher Alan Kirkpatrick will perform the ceremony after the pre-marital counseling sessions on Tues. & Thurs evenings. Hopefully, everything will go well with these. Maybe he will keep us updated? :)
Don Eichler has a special job. He is the sanitation supervisor (Super Duper Pooper Scooper) in other words. Maybe he WON'T keep us updated :)

THE BANKER IN CHARGE - CARL WINTERS - We'll Call Him "Greenie"
As you already know the banker has given Tex & Miss Molly the sum of One Million Dollars for the upcoming Events. After careful review from "Greenie" each team will be awarded the sum of $225,000.00 dollars. The remainder will go into the General Fund for "unexpected" expenses.
Out of the gooness of his heart "greenie" has decided you will not have to submit your receipts.
Mara - I hope you will be on mine and BWP's team, we are in charge of food, and BWP is in charge of overseeing the whole event! L

Oh, no, I wasn't after the preachers money!!! Oh MY!!! I would never do that!!! I was just hoping he wouldn't charge, because then, Carl would have to take money from each of our budgets and the seamstress is being difficult. Ceil & Carl, Don't worry the pre-marital counseling is scheduled for every Tues and Thurs evening between 7 and 8pm. Preacher Alan is happy to do this for free. NO charge. But he is insistent on them being on time and you know how Ms. Molly likes to primp in front of the mirror. She really must be on time! Ceil & Carl All is forgiven and I have some suggestions for the food. Remember the Fredericksburg peaches will be ripe just about this time and what a great cake they would make. Also Peach Salsa is fantastic. With a few tortilla chips, some home grown garden vegetables and how about some seafood. Ms Lisa lives near the coast maybe she could get us a good deal on some shrimp, scallops and red snapper. What do you think? Any other suggestions?
All Active Rain Party Planner: Looks like you have been working very hard putting together this here wedding for Tex and Miss Molly. However, we have run into a problem with the menu selection for the Big Wedding day. I am sure you have heard that Tex and Miss Molly has requested "no beef" be served at the wedding reception. I know Ms. Lisa will do a great job with the parties too. We'll audition them -- I have them on a "draft" post, waiting to be auditioned. We can then decide exactly who will perform at the wedding. They all agreed to do it for free!!! Great chance for them to be out among 100,000 fans performing -- how often do they get that opportunity.
Judi, Sounds like you've been busy helping me out with the music. We have to be careful not to make Elsie the singing cow angry. She is really sensitive. You know those "STAR Types". Mz. Hey Miz Liz, I'm here, I'm not on my computer. But I have been working on invitations. Have 2 saved on my computer at home. Want to design a couple more for y'all to vote on. Jackie's busy this week with clients so she had to take a few days off from shopping for the wedding. However, we have narrowed the search down to 4 dresses for Ms. Molly. Go to my post and let me know which one you like We've also picked out 2 different styles of boots and there are several hats to choose from -- all for Ms. Molly. Oh, Jackie found the most beautiful wedding jewelry -- sapphires & diamonds in a Blue Bonnet design for necklace and earrings. I have some things put aside for Mr. Tex but haven't posted them yet. Will get that done tonight along with the invitations. Waiting for Ms. Yolanda to start scheduling the Spa Day and Ms. Lisa to plan the bachelor and bachelorette parties. I think they both got side tracked by work.
And I found some real Southern Belle dresses for you to try on. I'll get them posted tonight also. Got busy with clients but will try to catch up tonight.

Have to decide what I want to say so I can finish it and get it posted. It's similar to Deb's so I have to make sure the wording is different from hers. I've been designing the invitations myself. Still have a few more ideas but they'll take a little time, have to find the right graphics. I designed the TX AR Gathering Invitations. Of course, this is much more serious than that was! hehe Trying to put together some posts about site-seeing while Tom was here. The pictures are on a different computer. But I might be able to get them written on one computer, I write mine in Office, then paste it onto AR -- and then add the pictures onto the draft from the other computer.

Hey Dale - Yip had fun on my fishing trip. As you can see I found the shrimp boat and a great chef that had some good recipes and he keeps sending more recipes. You are great to have found the Lone Star Beer for marinating.

We have them come out with the calendars every Oct. when they fist come out and the guys come and autograph them for us. We have raised around $15,000 for the burned and crippled childrens fund for them, and it's always a ton of fun too, they kinda do a little strip show for us, and all the "ladies" go wild. I like all the cakes; hard to choose; maybe we need them all since this is the largest Extravaganza Texas and AR has ever seen. We can call in Tom Plant and Vanna and auction the cakes we don't use. We can all take a cruise from the proceeds after the wedding to get a little R&R. Ummmm! A cruise for AR's from Texas???? I'll have to make a note of that for further consideration.

Wedding Planners, I have a special announcement. Miss Lisa Heindel of New Orleans, LA has had to resign from her position as Official Bachelor and Bachelorette Party planner. She's gotten busy with real estate stuff (clients and selling houses) which is a very very good thing. Sorry to lose her from our great group but happy she's busy.
I have asked Mr. Jason Crouch of Austin, TX to please step in for her. He hasn't responded yet, since I just sent him an email but with some coercion from the rest of this great group, I'm sure he'll accept. hehe Jason, I know this is so unfair...sorry, not really, but I know I'll owe you for this one! I think Jason should also hold the honor of being Mr. Tex Rain's Best Man. What do y'all think???
This also affects Ms. Molly's Bachelorette Party. I'm thinking, she's already having a full day of pampering at the SPA with her bridal party -- we'll take that day and extend it into a Spa Day/Bachelorette Party. Ms. Yolanda Hoverstein will not be able to plan that day due to getting busy with real estate stuff. Sure could use a volunteer to help me with planning the day and evening.
Liz, sorry, I've tried & tried to get the invitation the way you want it. But I can't do it. I've spent 2 hrs. on this -- the one we have will have to do -- unless someone else who knows HTML can make the border and make the changes in the wording. Another thing to put on my list to learn. :)

Ceil, Yes, I'm planning for Ms. Molly, You, Miz Liz, Me, Ricki, Deb, Jackie and Marchel to all go to the Spa for the Day. We're ALL going to need to be pampered. I'm planning on Ricki, Me. Deb & Jackie to be bridesmaids (walking down the aisle in front of the bride for obvious reasons). Marchel is the photographer so she has to document our day -- then, after we're all pampered and looking good, we'll go out on the town!!! Look out River Walk -- we're on our way!
I'll check on the local SPAs and Resorts to see which one can handle us! I'll check on the one in Kerrville.
I finished my Wildflower entry too. Had a full day -- another one tomorrow. But will try to get the invitation wording changed -- can't promise the gold border. Will see if I can figure it out -- I'll read thru the book on HTML I just bought to see if I can find the directions for a border and gold color.
BWP, that's OK, the main thing I wanted to see was you to write post from scratch about something you want to write about, doesn't matter that you use Greenie's blog spot to post it from. Just think you would have lots of great stories to write. Be sure and let me know when and if you do. L
Gotta go get my post done for the other town, and then I have to do my wildflower one and the BBQ one, which is our next contest on the group...The Best BBQ in Texas. Ricki, Ohoooooo too cute, thanks. Took Rhett for a walk and saw the baby ducks, they were at the other end from were we saw them. They were over by the beach club and too far away to get a good picture. Hope they are still around and the turtles don't get them when we get back next week from the lake. I worked on a post for the contest of town phots doing Cinco Ranch till 2:00 AM, and it was great, and long, hit spell check at the top since AR's does not work, and acendently hit the refreash button and lost the whole damn thing. Is AR ever going to fix spell check, it's all their fault!
Hey Miz Liz, you're still staying up too late!!! You need to type your draft in word and then copy and paste it to AR -- that way you won't lose them. Ok???

I had the placements, wording etc. perfect, then I hit refresh vs spell check and lost several hours of work. There is no way to do this kind of a post in work first, unfortunately. Hi Ms. Judi, no I hit refresh instead of spell check! I'm having to use the spell check in the Google tool bar instead of the one on AR, since mine on AR does not work. When you hit refresh in the middle of doing a blog, post, pictures, anything it makes all go away, that's way I said, It's AR's fault! The Google spell check is right below the refresh tab and it has a double GREEN arrows, and the ABC Check has a GREEN check mark, + it was late. But frustrating as hell to loose 5 hours worth of work, so tonight I will be finishing it, and writing our new contest, "The best BBQ joint in Texas". I haven't looked at any of the wildflowers yet, since I'm a judge I want them to be fresh in my mind. I also have to get my wildflower post in before Monday too, so looks like I'll be up late the next couple of nights.

Ceil (BWP), We have 4 dresses to choose from, plus 4 hats and 2 pair of boots. And we have the wedding jewelry chosen. I'm waiting until Jackie finishes up her project and get back -- should be this weekend or early next week. I've picked out several outfits for Tex for us to choose from...the men have voted and I will take that into consideration. We still have bridesmaid dresses to pick out. And I think we have to pick out your outfit -- Miz Liz, couldn't decide so she has 5 outfits.
Invitation is done -- I will try to make a couple of changes Miz Liz requested when I have some quiet time. I'll consult with Don to see if we can get the gold border on it. I did it in publisher but when I move it to AR it's black -- we just need to get the right code to make the border gold. We have the book, just have to practice.
I asked Jason Crouch to step in for Lisa to plan Mr. Tex's Bachelor Party but haven't heard back from him. Hmmm, I guess I better find another guy to plan that for us. Someone want to help me convince him -- it would be so simple for him to plan it.
Yolanda can't plan the Spa Day, so I'm going to try to get that planned and extend the day into evening with a simple Bachelorette Party. Shouldn't take me long to get it planned.

Judi - You may think about Alan for a back up for planning the Batchelor Party, he was so creative with the Invitation Llist. Besides, he is the "preacher" and can keep all those Longhorney's in line at the Batchelor party. OMG, can't believe I said that.
Dress - I like purple and black, I need dark colors with my gray hair. I think I read where Ms. Liz is going to wear all the dresses and play quick-change artist. You just choose for me. I say you and your team make the final decision as a team and just post the final. (What do you think). Not everyone is checking in as frequently as they did in the beginning.
On the inviation can you just change the wording as Ms. Liz suggested? I like the red, white and blue. The black print is fine. The top sets it off, simple and sweet.

I think we've all gotten busy with our Real Estate businesses. We'll all be back when we get caught up. We're always busy at the end of the month -- that's when most closings take place. I've had a lot of phone calls and paperwork to do on the ones in escrow and marketing the listings. Plus, I still have a CMA to do, buyers tomorrow and have another one talking to a loan officer tomorrow to finalize her loan application.
BWP & TWP's, the decorations will be a pick of cake...gold & blue in what I had in mind, since we will be using thousands of blue bonnets.
As you said me dresses are done, and here is the ring I bought to wear, It's a yellow diamond, so goes with the gold & blue theme, and also will look good with anything!
Judi, the invitation is fine, just put Liz Carter & Bill Gronvold as the adoptive parents of Mr. Tex Rain, and Carl & Ceil Winters as adoptive parents of Miss Molly Blogger, that is important. I love everything else!

Now here is a new idea for everyone. Do you all want to meet up here at my lake house on June 1st, and hold the wedding here? I have plenty of room, the house can sleep 10-14, and I have 3 1/2 acres, one acre is right on the lake and has electric & water if someone wanted to bring an RV. There s a large boat house, complete with jet skis, and boat, 2 4-wheelers, and it's really pretty. I'll send pictures if you think you can make it and we can have another AR gathering for the wedding? Thoughts? Liz

Liz - Post your pictures of your lake house. It sounds beautiful, should be the next place to hold a gathering for sure. I still kinda like the Pomerosa and the plans have been made around the Pomerosa and the theme; whatever the Teams and you want to do. After all, money is no object in this here big wedding. OMG - just think what will go on when the little one's come along...how much fun is that going to be.
What do you think of the corporate plane? I think Vegas would be great for the guys. Let's see what other suggestions we get.

Red Hot Pepper Team Update:
The shower is planned, taking place at the Rose Palace in Boerne on May 11th. That is just one week away! Red, white blue theme with flowers and decorations by Deb Brooks. Deb also has picked a cake for us.
There are body guards in place at every entrance and parking attendants. There are 400 rooms incase any one wants to spend the night after a long day of fun.
Preacher Alan Has been doing pre-marital counseling with the happy couple. The guest list is done.
Don, our Super Dooper Pooper Scooper has everything clean and ready for all the guests.
The honeymoooon suite is ready at the MooArvelous B & B.
And last but not least, our photgrapher, Marchel is ready with cameras in hand and on tripods.
BTW, Elsie the singing cow may do a surprise visit to the shower as well. Happy planning all!!!!!:)

Dale - Ricki took care of the honeymoooon. I think you have security and grounds theme in red, white and blue under control. Also, lodging Bandera hotel, cabins and tipi's righ? How about a Hummer Limo for Tex & Miss Molly for the honeymoon - what do you think. Tex & Molly are big and will definitely need a big vehicle. A Red Hummer would be nice.

Hi All, I am in bad shape...was up till 7:00 AM, and now tonight or guess it's morning again, I'm still trying to work on this damn slide show for my wildflower post that is due tomorrow. + I have to judge it + I have to pick top 10 and featured post for last two weeks + I have tonight another post for the contest next month...The best BBQ in Texas! So it's a good thing everyone else is doing a great job, and has everything under control.

We will taking the site down in the early morning of Friday May 9th from 1am-4am Pacific Time. (4am-7am on the East Coast). The site will be down as we put a build up with some significant performance enhancements.
I could go into the details, but I can't decipher what the Heck Diego and Matt are talking about........so I probably wouldn't get it right anyway. What I do know is that many of the issues around site performance are being addressed in this release so you should see increased performance when the site comes back online Friday morning at 4am Pacific Time.
If you are working on anything at the time the site goes down, your work will be lost........so please help us spread the word to those late night/early morning ActiveRainers you know to frequent the site at these late/early hours.

Tex who is the mascot for the Texas Real Estate group was introduced to everyone by founder

Then the fun really began with all the excitement of making plans for the upcoming wedding, which is sure to be the event of the year on Active Rain. We are sure the wedding will be attended by thousands of active rain bloggers as well as the Big Shots of AR. All of their fellow longhorns and other special guest will also be receiving wedding invitations shortly. Of course we also have the engagement party, the wedding showers to plan, and shopping trips to buy the many things needed for such a large and illustrious wedding. Oh and planning where they are going on their honeymoon...so many things to do and get ready for and talk about.
