It's A Deck!
Our new pride and joy! Our home had a deck when we purchased it 13 years ago but it was not very safe so we removed it about a year or two after we purchased the home. Now that all the remodel/rebuild work is done from the flood we decided to put a new deck on. Can't wait for next spring and summer when we can enjoy it for the entire "deck" season.
Bob - the deck is a mainstay our home in the summer. We do all cooking out there. Looks like you are are set for next summer.

Thanks Grant Schneider I'm really looking forward to it. We are having some real bonus days this fall with temps above normal so I know we are going to get at least a couple more weeks out of it this year as well.

William Feela I love wood working but the contractor gave me a really low price and said if I help him he will double it.
Thanks Mike Rock we went for a simple square plan, 12 X 16, for the most usable space and the least cost. The contractor had to do very little cutting as these are standard board dimensions. I would have liked to have had a cut put for a pool but again it would have added greatly to the cost and with all the trees we have I don't want the maintenance of a pool full of leaves.
We are real excited about it Troy Erickson , except for our 16 year old dog Jack. He is having trouble with the change due to his blindness so we have to show him how to get up and down for now.
