Did you know there are over 30 Nursing Homes and rehabilitation centers in Carroll County, MD? I send cards every now and again to lift the spirits of someone who may not have visitors. What if every resident in Carroll County, over 167,000 currently, sent a card this holiday season? Could we make a difference?

I challenge you to reach out in your community. Send a card or two or five a month. You don’t have to sign your name if you don’t want to. My Mom used to take part in a secret pal group at church. She’d get a big smile when she received a card in the mail. No expectations, just a kind ford for someone who may need it.
