What do you do when your partner loves dogs and will rescue them if she can catch them? You help her catch, bathe, dry, remove fleas and ticks, and hold on to them as she finds a home for them. One of the new homeowners in the new home subdivision (Great River at Tribble Mill in Gwinnett County, Georgia) we sell homes in, called my partner yesterday to tell her she had caught the puppy.
Getting the puppy was not to much trouble, but getting the mother to let us take the puppy (about 2 months old) without herself getting caught was fun. Every time we let the puppy loose in the model home, it would attempt to hide in a corner or behind something thinking if it could not see us, we could not see it. It is a beautiful puppy that loves to be held and cuddled with.
We are finalizing a contract with a woman whose husband died last year, both son's left for college and both of her aging dogs died. She is taking care of herself and changing some things in her life, so I suggested to my partner that we offer the puppy along with the contract on the new home which should close the end of this month. The puppy, called "Sweetie Pie" until her new mom picks her up this afternoon, will have a loving, caring, environment to grow up in.
The new mom is excited that my partner called about the puppy as she had decided to begin looking for a new one.
If we truly listen to our clients to hear the dreams from their hearts, we will serve them much better than treating them as money generators.
