The law of attraction, no this is not how to score a date.

The other day I happened upon the Oprah show. It was based on 'The Secret' a new book that is creating a buzz. No wonder, it's fantastic!! I was so inspired by the guests on the show I went out and bought the book immediately. I mean, can it hurt to think positvely???

I started thinking back to times in my life when I applied the law of attraction to things I wanted. My husband, a home in the neighborhood in Uxbridge where I now live. It has worked for me in the past without me even knowing that I was doing it. What if I actually tried to apply this law to my everyday life. Oh, the wonder of it all!

I am hearby declaring that it will work for the next job I get. I applied for a staging project in Stouffville that was posted on Debra Gould's Business of Home Staging Directory. It is a directory where she posts projects that she is unable to do herself and therefore needs someone whom she can refer. Well I am going to prove to you that The law of attraction works! I am already thinking about how I will stage this vacant house. I am waiting for an email to tell me that the client will be calling me to discuss a consultation.

I truly believe that this principal makes alot of sense. Can you imagine if everyone on the planet actually had only positvie thoughts. We could change the world!

I'm curious. Do any of you have any experiences that you can share regarding the law of attraction and how it has worked in a positive way for you? Let's pay all those positive feelings forward.

Congratulations! Until I watched "The Secret", I didn't realize either that I had been using the law of attraction. Whatever you call it - karma, chi, energy, prayer, positive affirmations - it's all the same use of this wonderful, mysterious energy. It's been interesting to me to see how my intentions are fulfilled. Many times, it's not delivered in the form or timeframe that I wanted, but the end results were obviously meant to be! I would love to hear your observations now that you are consciously sending out your positive intentions. Keep it up and thanks for the post.

Hi Kathy,

there has been so much "buzz" about this lately and had only heard of it a couple of weeks ago. I plan on purchasing the book sometime this week and would love to get my hands on the movie.

I too have purchased The Secret both the book and DVD. It's a very entertaining DVD and is completely true. As someone who is a firm believer in getting what you ask for it makes sense. The law of attraction is very powerful and has been present in so many different books. If you have read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, he talks at length about this and how it was used by many of the greatest business men in the world. The hardest part I find is stating your request in the proper form so that your focus and intent are place correctly. It's definitely something you need to read or watch more than once. As Tony Robins likes to say "repetition is the mother of all skill."

Well today I didn't feel much positive energy to say the least. I was struggling with depression and feeling the February blues. I must say...it's easy to let yourself get wrapped up in self pity. I tried really hard to follow the principals of "The Secret" but it was very difficult. I guess sometimes changing your way of thinking does take some skill. I wasn't ready for the negative thoughts to creep back in so quickly. Hmmm.

On a good note...remember when I said I was gonna get the staging job I applied for????? Well I have been referred by Debra for that same job!!!!! So maybe this law of attraction does really work. I still have to speak to the client to sell them on me.

Tomorrow is another day! I will get up and start my day by trying to be greatful for all that I have and then the law will have to send me something to be more greatful for. I will keep you posted. Wish me luck with the clients!!!!

If you have the DVD I would suggest watching it again. Anytime you feel like you are slipping into the negative make sure you are doing something to change your state. It's as easy as locking yourself in your car and singing at the top of your lungs and make the time to watch the DVD again. If you don't have it you can pick it up at Barnes and Noble for $30.00, it will be money well spent.

I would love to get my hands on the DVD. I am trying to find it a little cheaper thant $35.00 (Can.) I lucked out and found the book at Costco today for $16.49(Can.) If there is anyone out there who knows where to pick it up cheap please let me know. We don't have Barnes and Noble in Canada. too bad though.

The Secret is absolute must see for everyone, such a great reminder to go after your life's deepest desires. There were 2 great shows on Larry King Live about this, you can watch both of these shows on internet, Here is the link:

I, too, have used The Secret all my life and didn't know it. But now that I do, oh my... things are exploding all around me.. in a good way. Wow!!!!

I have some LOA buddies that I share my LOA successes with every day. I have too many (just in the last month) to list! Yes!!!!! We can create our destinies.

I must admit I have gotten away from using 'The Secret' in my daily life. It is something that one needs to be conscious of all the time. I think until you make it a habit it is something you have to work on. I have had a few success' with using 'The Secret' but I'm sure I can do better.

Great post. The Secret has to become a daily part of your life but most of us weren't trained that way. You get back everything you send out, be sure to send out the very best you can Every Day---and watch that good energy flow right back to you :)
