Here comes summer

With May rapidly approaching I find myself looking for different ways of getting people to talk to.  You see I live and work in Maricopa county Arizona and come May the winter visitors we get from all around the nation for the winter months have pretty much gone back to their home states.  Now I am not saying that there are no sales to be made, there are and I know it, they are just fewer are farther between and that is not good in todays market.

I am doing the traditional once a month newsletter to everyone in my data base, they either get it via e-mail or snail mail depending on if I have their email addy.  Then to those that I do have an email addy I send an electronic postcard every 2 weeks.  I have a farm of approx 300 that gets my newsletter via snail mail once a month.  I hold the maxium # of floor slots I can and I do no less than 4 open houses a week.

The results I am getting is not satisfactory to me so I decided to try a seminar for sellers.  That is in May, we'll see how that goes.

I know years ago telemarketing was the game, dialing for dollars.  Since the Do Not Call List came out I have stopped.  I found that a majority of the people where alerady on the DNC list, they are no longer as receptive to solicitation calls, and "scrubbing" the names through the list is a real time consumer.

What are you doing that gets you results, people to talk to?  Do you know of a easy way to "scrub" names through the DNC list?  Am I missing something basic?

Thanks for your thoughts

Brett,

Try not to get discouraged. There may be fewer buyers as the weather heats up, but there are still many families who want to make their move during the summer months before the new school year starts. And the buyers who are out looking for homes in our sizzling Arizona summers are usually pretty serious. How did your seminar go?
