Depersonalize.....Let them look at the home not your photos or your taste in decor. Stage your home , not sure how or what you should remove have your agent (us of course) to do a walk through with you and point out the things that should in their opinion be out of site.

Brighten your home as much as possible let as much natural light come in that you can.

It doesn't take that much to put a fresh coat of paint inside and out. Especially inside if you have fingerprints and smudges from little ones or if you have used several different colors throughout your home...get it back to neutral colors.
