Does anyone have a passion for doing short sales? OH MY GOD!!!!! It is unbelievable who is in charge of millions of dollars in assets at these banks. I just called the bank, Aurora Home loan services and the gal on the other line said that we need to order a BPO. An exterior BPO was done in January because the locks were changed and no one knew the combo so they were unable to do an interior. After a month of trying to find out whos lockbox was on the home, I had it re-keyed. A new interior was just done 10 days ago and after my first offer was pulled, we now submitted a  new offer. Now the lady tells me today that they need to do another interior BPO, because they don't have one on file. It was just done last week!!!!! My god!!!!! These things need to be referred out to people in the state correction workout dept!!! This is so frustrating and these people making $12.00/hour are losing faxes and don't know anything about the short sale process.

They can be VERY frustrating.  Keep your eye on the prize though.  To me the prize is helping someone out from under a burden that is crushing them.  I've had some very happy homeowners who sold, didn't have a foreclosure on their record and they can again, buy a home when their situation changes and they will be BETTER homeowners for having had to go through this once.

It does seem thought that they try to give you the run around.

I hate short sales....I understand you can make some money but the banks always work you for your commission and it is very difficult to get to the decision makers.

Jason- They are not any fun to do. I always warn my buyers about them when we start looking. So for none have been easy, but we have been able to get some done.

I must be in the minority here, I don't mind doing a short sale. The fact that I can drudge through a short sale has helped me to help several people. I am working on 1 right now. The bank is difficult to work with, it's hard to be patient. But I expect that and prepare in advance.  We must remember, it's been a while for the banks in dealing with short sales. All I can do is make sure to smile and hold my chin up and do everything I can to remain positive. This is what we are here for, to help people sell their homes ... being diverse in our skill is the only way to survive this market.

Good luck on the rest of your deal. You can do it.

Isn't it awesome that a guy can buy two properties in a nice neighborhood and let them go into foreclosure, after neglecting the properties and yards?  Now, thanks to the awesome realty skills of Jason Whaley and Auctus Realty, another nice neighborhood has been ruined.   Thanks for your hard work, Jason!  I hope you made some money!  Good work!
