It's October. Halloween is still three and a half weeks away. But you can kick start the season at the 2015 College Station Pumpkin Palooza Weekend. For the third year in a row, the Millican Reserve is hosting this fun, family-friendly event for the public. If this doesn't get you into the Halloween spirit, nothing will!

2015 College Station Pumpkin Palooza Weekend
Are you ready for pumpkins galore? The 2015 College Station Pumpkin Palooza Weekend has it all. On Friday, October 9th, the Millican Reserve will be hosting a special Autumn Reserve dinner from 6pm to 8pm. Ronin Cooking's own Chef Brian Light has put together a to-die-for four course, Autumn-themed tasting menu. Sup on his delicious offerings while watching the sun set from the reserve's new boathouse. While that sounds yummy, it is only the beginning of the 2015 College Station Pumpkin Palooza Weekend. Starting at 5:30pm on Saturday, the College Station community will be alive with music from the Millican Music Festival. This concert is absolutely free of charge. Relax under the stars. Have yourself a picnic. Several food trucks will be offering fantastic cuisine. Just make sure you bring blankets and chairs since no formal seating is provided. Nashville artists Gary Ray & the Heartwells will be performing along with San Antonio's Down for the Count.
Make sure you come back on Sunday. That's when the 2015 College Station Pumpkin Palooza Weekend finishes with a bang...of pumpkins! For just $3 per person (kids 3 and under get in free), the Millican Reserve is transformed into an Autumn carnival. There will be food. There will be a pumpkin patch. There will be hay rides, carnival rides and even a pumpkin pie eating contest. And, if that weren't enough, you won't want to miss the pumpkin-chunkin' from the reserve's 20 foot trebuchet. And that's just the beginning!
