Delray Beach - Learning the Value of Exercise.
We completed our second week of working out with a trainer and as tired as I am, I love it. There’s something synergistic about exercising the mind and the body.
I’ve kept my mind active but the body has taken a back seat. It’s not exactly been neglected over the years but clearly one has only to look at my angel wings and you can see the neglect.
But as those of you who workout know, when you get some exercise, whether through the gym or some outside cardio activity, oxygen gets to travel through our bodies at a faster rate.
We walk at the beach every morning and have been known to follow it up with a bike ride but all of this seemed quite like a leisurely stroll compared to what our trainer is having us go through.
Mind you I felt I could hear parts of my body saying....
“Hey-what’s this stuff racing through us?”
“Old minds are like old horses; you must exercise them if you wish to keep them in working order.” John Adams
If you’re trying to find the time to work out, just ask Lenn Harley or Barbara Todaro . They make the time.
“I think self-discipline is something, it's like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets.” Daniel Goldstein
“If a man achieves victory over this body, who in the world can exercise power over him? He who rules himself rules over the whole world.” Vinoba Bhave
