When you boil down your business, motivation is one of the big keys to success.  If you boil down motivation, it comes down to a BIG WHY.  Why do you get up and go to work? Why are you in this career rather than another?

When people have difficulty with focus, they often are not thinking about their big WHY enough.  It's not that they aren't focused on their tasks - it's just that they are failing to get their motivation from what really matters.  If you are working today because you have to pay a few bills, then your motivation is very shallow... if, however, you are working today because you intend to create a positive financial future for your family, you have a deep motivation that will effect you for years to come.

Consider what your motivation is for being at work the next time you're there.  Why are you doing the tasks you have?  Continue to work up those whys until you get to an ultimate why.

For example, I lead generate so I can get clients.  Why?  So I can get contracts?  Why? So I can get paid.  Why? So I can pay off debt.  Why?  Because I want to be financially secure.  Why?  Because I want to create a legacy of wealth for my heirs.  As an example, this is not bad.  Another very common one (this is pretty much mine) goes a step beyond, and the big why is that you want to gain financial freedom so that you can devote time to your family that is currently devoted to your business (remember, if you were financially free, you could step out of your business and live on passive income, right??).

Know your big why.  Ponder your big why daily.  Relate your activities to your big why.  Keep yourself accountable (I'm being lazy, which means I am not going to become financially free as soon as I could).  I don't mean to beat yourself up, but at least use it as a kick in the rear end when needed.

Have a great week!  Why?  Because you deserve it!
