My neighbor works all day at some J-O-B, with an office location somewhere. He hates this fact and says to me: "someone owns my (fill in the blank) from 8:30AM to 6PM every day".

He yearns to be an entrepreneur with the ability to set his own schedule as he sees fit and be his own boss. He dreams about it. He wishes to retire with such a lifestyle...or never retire and keep working as an entrepreneur if he so chooses! 

I suspect that I may have inspired him and put a little fire in his belly to do something about changing his reality. His father is also a huge influence in his life and an inspiration to him as he is a full time real estate appraiser who is making an attractive annual income.

So, he recently told me that he'll be starting appraisal school with the intention of earning his license, logging field apprentice hours with his dad, and someday taking over his father's company and growing it as the family business.

I'm truly proud of him and I wish him nothing but success.

I can't help but take notice of how often I talk to people who have good jobs but yet they dream, deep down inside, that someday they could leave the daily grind of answering to a boss and become successfully self employed. 

My life is not perfect or without its challenges. However, I am very blessed and very grateful for what I have and the lifestyle I enjoy as a self-employed individual.

Be grateful for what you have and what you do! Many people are watching you, and believe me...they wish they were you!
