Did the Eagles really write Desperado for Robert Vegas Bob Swetz?

The song Desperado was written by Glenn Frey & Don Henley of the music group The Eagles.

 

When the song Desperado first came out in 1973 I thought is was slow and didn't relate much to it.

 

It wasn't until the 1980's that the song started to make more sense to Vegas Bob.

Then the 90's the song Desperado starting falling into place in my life.

 

And now ... I am quite sure that when Glen & Don started writing the song Desperado, they were writing about Vegas Bob's life.

Robert (Alaska Bob) Swetz  I love the Eagles  saw them in Long Beach Ca while visiting friends .  Jack Nicholson was sitting in the row in front of us   ..I even got to see Hotel California you can check out but you can never leave

VB, AKA AB.. I am very familar with this song and believe it or not it was not a hit when it was released. great song.. We really like the Eagles music. You are married so it does not apply to you right now.. Correct??
