This was an interesting week, with minimal activity which excluded any price changes in either condos or houses- quite a rarity! Despite the limited activity, we still managed to put two condos and two houses into escrow and sell a total of three properties. As of today, Sunday, there have been 22 sales as we attempt to meet or exceed the 78 sales of last October. Here is your update:

Hanalei Bay Villas 34, which last sold for $975K in 11/05, is active on the MLS for $775K. The unit was listed previously from 10/09 to 6/10 for $999K.
Contingent:
Kaiulani 55 which is priced at $1.199M went into escrow after 177 market days. This townhome sold for $999K in 5/13. Alii Kai 6101, priced at $649,900 found a buyer. The prior sale was for $108,500 in 5/86.
Sales:
Paniolo 103 sold for the list price of $299K cash after 388 market days. The prior sale was for $218,500 in 8/12.
Puu Poa 106 sold for $1.020M cash while listed for $1.095M. This one owner unit sold for $189,000 in 9/86.
Withdrawn:
Emmalani Court 525 was withdrawn after 214 market days priced at $648K. The seller bought this condo for $475K in 6/09.
Puu Poa 104, which last sold $870K in 9/12, was withdrawn after 132 market days while priced at $1.110M.

New Listings:
4196 Liholiho, with a price tag of $739K, wasted no time in findimg a buyer, doing so in only 4 days. This home was purchased in 1/12 for $555K.
Contingent:
As noted above, 4196 Liholiho quickly found a buyer. 4066 Kaahumanu Place, priced at $1.199M found a buyer after 159 market days. The last sale was for land in 6/04 for $450K.
Sales:
3486 Emmalani was listed for $875K and sold for $850K. The prior sale was for $590K in 7/12.
The other day I came across a report which listed the 10 safest countries. The report, which is based on data from the “Global Peace Index” released by the “Institute of Economics and Peace ” based the report on several metrics, which included “violent crime levels, prison population, safety and security in society, weapons import & export, extent of domestic & international conflict, economic impact of violence, political instability and many more.”
The report actually ranks 162 countries which comprises 99.5% of the population. You may find the following list of Countries interesting:
